GroNATIVE represents a collaborative effort involving the Queensland Government, Natura Pacific, and Griffith University, aiming to enhance the integration of native plant species into gardens and urban landscapes.

The initiative seeks to educate users on how native species can effectively replace non-native garden plants, which often become invasive. By providing tailored gardening styles and planting palettes, GroNATIVE offers a practical approach to landscaping that aligns with ecological sustainability. This movement not only has the potential to lower costs associated with managing local ecosystems but also curtails the introduction of exotic plants into surrounding areas, thereby reducing the necessity for remediation interventions.

Additionally, GroNATIVE contributes to the preservation of ecosystem health and promotes urban gardens and landscapes as vital 'green corridors' that support local biodiversity.
